5 Basic Fashion Tips on How to elevate your style

As a Fashion/Style blogger, an influencer, a busy working mom and a wife, I’m often asked by other moms about fashion tips on how to elevate ones look, the latest trends or how to build a capsule wardrobe. I know that sometimes it can be hard to put an outfit together or imitating especially when everyone around you looks well put together.  Fashion should not be a chore but rather something that is enjoyable.  Here are 5 basic tips that will help you feel more confident about Fashion.

Find your style

Finding your style can take years. Play with colors, different patterns, shapes and try not to follow the latest trends until you find what suits your body shape and what feels comfortable when you wear your clothes.

Build a capsule wardrobe according to your style

Building a capsule wardrobe is very important. If you are not sure where to start, a classy black fitted blazer, a denim or leather jacket, a pair of jeans that fits you well (Skinny and straight legs are great options), simple T-shirts and button-down shirts are great options to build your capsule wardrobe. Make sure to stick with neutral colors like white, black, grey, beige as these colors always look sophisticated and chic.

Learn how to become a good shopper

In the beginning, I would advise everyone not to spend a fortune building your wardrobe until you find and be comfortable with your style.

Invest in pieces that can be worn throughout the seasons. Avoid buying clothes that will fill your closet and that you end up not wearing

Add accessories to your style

Accessories always elevate and add a finish touch to your look/outfit.

Invest in a classy belt – either for jeans or classy black pants, a silk scarf, jewelries, and a hat.

 Have fun!!

Create your own fashion rules, remember to always look presentable and comfortable in your clothes. Fashion is more than the clothes we wear. It’s about having confidence in yourself.
